Pinino Brunello, Brunello Riserva and Rosso di Montalcino are the Estate's flagship wines which embody the quality of Pinino Winery. Resulting from a very risorous selection and aging in large, classic barrels of Slavonian oak for at least 24 months for the Brunello, the wine shows incredible structure, elegance and great longevity and expresse best Pinino's philosophy.
Cupio Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino is inspired by the idea for a wine which express fruit, suppleness, younghfulness and approach. Cupio is produced mainly from younger vineyards and aged in medium oak barrels as well as French oak barriques.

Riserva Brunello

One characteristic of the Brunello di Montalcino Pinone Riserva is the long obligatory ageing during five years before it can be sold. Production, refinement and bottling must take place in the municipality of Montalcino.
According to the best of traditions our Pinone Brunello di Montalcino Riserva matures in large oak barrels. 


Pinino Brunello

Brunello di Montalcino was one of the first wines ever to receive the designation DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata). It was also the first Italian wine to receive the designation DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita). This wine, which is exclusively produced from the "Sangiovese" grapes, is exceptional in every respect. On one hand are the favourable climate conditions and the richness of the loamy, that gives the grapes their unique flavour. The second and not less important factor is the expertise in the production in this region, which is also characterized by the long maturing of at least two years in large oak wood barrels, and recently also in French barriques. The techniques of wine production are here still passed on from generetion to generetion. In the past years Brunello di Montalcino has become synonymous for exclusive quality and has in a way become the Italian ambassador in the world of wines. One characteristic of Brunelllo is the long obligatory aging during four years before it can be sold. Production, refinement and bottling must take place in the minicipality of Monalcino. According to the best of traditions our Brunello matures in large oak barrels. Characteristics of our Brunello: intense ruby-red with a tendency to garnet-red, after aging with orange reflexes, intense fresh aromas of cherries and raspberry, young with expressive tannin, with increasing age smoothening, elegant, classy and rich, full-bodied and a long finish.


Pinino Rosso

Rosso di Montalcino is produced from the same grapes as Brunello. In the refinement phase this wine has a shorter period of maturing and ready for drinking one year after the harvest. Rosso di Montalcino is harmonious, elegant, spicy and a perfect match to a large variety of meals. When begin sold, it is ready for drinking and surprises at the first sip. Rosso di Montalcino can be enjoyed while young and does not necessarily have to be seasoned even though it matures well with increasing age and the tannins become more elegant. Characteristics of our Rossi di Montalcino: bright ruby-red colour, full taste of ripe, red fruit and berries, smooth fruit, classical Sangiovese-notes, pleasing and well balanced tannin, middle body, fruity final and smooth fruity aftertaste.
